RE: New Good Sam Club Website Problem

Messed up a good site. Wish they would stop trying to do everything on the internet since a majority of members do not go on line.

RE: Power bills

You have to remember that 50AMP service is equal to the power availability of three 30AMP services. Most older mobile homes only use to be 50 AMP service. If your breaker box have the loads equal on both legs you have the ability to pull over 90 AMPS.

RE: Coldwater, MI Campgrounds

I know the fair grounds in Coldwater have full hook ups. We've been to Waffle Farms but we never have had full hook up there, most sites are W & E.

RE: what happened to the old address?

They are redoing the entire Good Sam web site. It's been totally changed but I have not been able to get the forum icon on the new site to work so they must have it fully up yet.

RE: Warning, avoid reserveworld.com!

We've been fighting with DNR and the govern here in Michigan for several years about our State Park system. It all falls on deaf ears. They don't want to talk to anyone but there green friends. They basically care less what the people who camp have to say.

RE: Rt. 2 - Montana to Michigan, Campgrounds and Sights to See

At Escanaba, MI the fair grounds have a great Campground for under $25 a night. There are several places along Lake Michigan for big rigs to pull over to go down along the water. You might want to take a side trip to the Soo locks. Being from out of State I don't recommend the MI State parks the camping and extra fees will be more tham any private campground and most MI State Parks only have electric. You'll want to spend at least one day at the MAC to see the fort and go out to the island. There are a couple of campgrounds on both sides of the bridge.

RE: July 1st another stupid, ill thought out California Law!

Michigan can top that by a child restraint law that goes into effect tomorrow. If the child is under 8 years old or under 4'9" they have to be in a child restraint seat or booster seat but, the law does not apply to school buses, state vehicles, commercial buses. Only private owner vehicles with a fine of $150 so if you plan on traveling into Michigan after tomorrow have the kids under 8 or 4'9" tall in a booster seat or child restraint seat because they can and will stop you.

RE: 30 amp outlet arced out, cut shore power

If the prong is discolored like you said and the rubber around it is melted you need to replace your plug end. This will cause higher amperage since it increases the resistance between the outlet and your cord. You don't need a whole cord just cut off the plug end and replace the plug.

RE: Looking for favorite Mi campgrounds.

Fair grounds at Escanaba, Allegan, Ionia, Charlotte, Harrison, West Branch, Coldwater, Certreville, and West Branch. All have nice large camping areas, restrooms, good power, water, some have sewers too. They all have dump stations and some of the best price camping.

RE: Roof Top AC Unit

They're all pretty much the same. The big thing is to get one big enough to cool your rig. If the old one was not doing the job go the next size up if possible.

RE: Michigan -- a top state for RV Friendly Casinos

Almost all the casino here in the State are RV friendly except for the ones in Detroit, traffic and lack of parking for RV's. The U.P. is a wonderful place to travel threw.

RE: Emergency Road Service. Satisfied With Your Provider?

Good Sam Platinum ERS benefits exceeds Coach net and the initial cost is less than Coach net. Your information on all of Good Sams ERS is a little out dated since they have come out with the Platinum service. The Platinum cost a little more just like the different levels of service that Coach net has.
As stated before Camping World RV Sales is not part of Camping World Stores they are separate companies. The CWcare is a package for new owner that is roadside, warranty and travel assistance combined into one deal. Camping World Road Care is sold by the Camping World Stores.
